2K vs 1080p resolution

This 2K resolution security camera contains double the amount of pixels as a 1080p security camera. Instead of recording at a pixel ratio of 1920 × 1080 – a total of 2,073,600 pixels, this nocturnal audio dome records a pixel ratio of 2688 × 1520 – a total of 4,085,760 pixels. One of the main benefits of a higher pixel count is the quality of the digital zooms when reviewing footage.

Active mechanical lens filter

An Active Mechanical Lens Filter, otherwise known as the IR Cut Filter, is used by this camera to prevent UV and infrared rays from entering the lens during the day. Without it, the coloring of the video would not be accurate. This lens filter will then automatically disengage at night to allow the infrared light in.

Auto white balance

An auto white balance feature automatically adjusts the color settings so that white areas in real life will be reproduced as white in your footage. This will then ensure that all other colors will be accurate. White balance customization is also available through the NVR as well for additional levels of white balance control to suit your needs.

Expanded coverage with built-in microphone

A built-in microphone within this security camera allows for listen-in audio recording.^* Audio monitoring can provide you with additional information (such as voices), which could prove to be invaluable should an intrusion or event occur on your property. Audio can also help you interpret events, even if the action takes place away from the camera’s field of view.

IK10 vandal resistance

This camera comes with an IK10 vandal resistance rating, and is strong enough to withstand violent impacts, unlike conventional plastic security cameras. It is especially useful for “within reach” installations.

Regional motion zones

Create up to four different regional motion zones through your NVR. This allows you to adjust the sensitivity (the amount of movement required to register that movement) and the threshold (how much movement is required before creating a motion “event”) at four different levels. This means that more important areas, such as a doorway, can be adjusted so that any movement at all will trigger recording (or create a motion event), while other sections of the frame, like a bush, would need a much higher level of motion.

Custom video orientation

This security camera can be installed on the ceiling or on the side of walls without worrying about how the video feed will look. You can easily change the visual orientation with the NVR after installation. The video feed can be rotated 90°, 180°, and 270°, and can also be flipped upside down and mirrored.
